Description
CRN-5686 is a miniature motion sensor for 5V voltage with sensitivity adjustment. To be used as a triggering device for controllers when motion of the object is detected. The sensor is cooperating with lighting controllers for stairs. The sensor detects objects emitting infrared (heat) radiation, such as people or animals. The sensor sends a fixed-length pulse (about 5 sec) after motion detection. The pulse (has a negative level and can be connected directly to the controller input.
Controls
 |
The motion sensor has one control element: the sensitivity of the motion sensor. The sensor is delivered with the control element set in the initial position - for the motion sensor it is the maximum sensitivity. The position of the adjustment element should be changed carefully. In case of problems, please adjust the control element in the starting position.

Connecting the sensor
 |
The sensor has three contacts. Make sure to connect the power supply and controller input with great attention. Misconnection of the power supply or controller input will damage both devices! Plug wires from the controller: + 5V power supply from controller output +5V, signal cable connected to the controller input and minus 12V power supply (GND) to the soldered plug. The connection should be made as described on the socket mounted on the sensor.Â

Connect the sensors to the controller only after checking whether the controller works properly, ie if the animation lights up correctly after pressing the buttons on the housing. If the controller works incorrectly, we again adjust the setting and possibly the angle of view of the sensors.
